You and I

Author: Rachel Wurstner

You and I,

We are cut from the same diamond,

Dust fallen from the same star.

There is lightning in my lungs

When you say my name.

You and I,

We are chiseled from the same marble,

Sparks flying from the same match.

We go together like milk and honey,

Sweet lemonade in a summer daze.

You and I,

Intertwined by a spell we’re under,

Your heart beats with the sound of thunder.
